Fred Hassan

Executive Chair

Fred Hassan serves as Executive Chair of Norstella, bringing decades of leadership experience across the global healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Throughout his career, Fred has served as CEO of several major pharmaceutical companies and held senior leadership roles at organizations including Schering-Plough, Pharmacia Corporation, and Bausch & Lomb. Fred played a major role in the 2009 ACA legislation, and an even larger role in the introduction of the landmark Part D drug benefit for seniors in 2003. Fred has also served on the boards of numerous healthcare and life sciences companies, providing strategic guidance across research, development, commercialization, and market access.

Widely recognized as a thought leader and advocate for patient-centered healthcare, Fred has championed innovation and improved access to medicines, particularly for underserved communities. As Executive Chair, he works closely with Norstella’s leadership team to support the company’s mission of helping life sciences organizations navigate complexity and accelerate patient access to life-saving therapies.

Michael Gallup

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Mike is responsible for driving Norstella’s mission to accelerate access to life-saving treatments by driving innovation across the life sciences value chain. Over the last several years, Mike has led Norstella through a period of significant growth and transformation. He is passionate about unifying teams and fostering an environment where employees feel empowered to make decisions, and make a difference, to better serve clients and advance our noble mission.

Previously, Mike was the CEO of Century Vision Global, the Group CEO of ECL & CVG & PI, and the President of TeleTracking Technologies, Inc. He also served as the VP and General Manager at Hill-Rom, a Senior Strategy Manager at IBM and a Manager at AMX International.

Mike has an MBA from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Brigham Young University.

Carrie Yonenson

Chief Human Resources Officer

Carrie oversees Norstella’s HR function, which includes talent acquisition, HR business partner functions, HR operations, learning and development, internal communications and engagement. Carrie brings 20 years of experience leading human capital teams focused on driving business results through strategy alignment, talent and culture. She has a distinct focus on partnering with business leaders, developing top talent, acting on employee feedback and leading large-scale complex change within organizations.

Carrie previously served as Chief Administrative and Human Resources Officer at ACA Global, a Private Equity backed financial services company.

Carrie has a bachelors in Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park and received her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School.

Kris Kaneta

Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer, Kris oversees the overall strategy and development of Norstella’s product portfolio. He works closely across each brand’s leadership team to direct the product lifecycle for all data, workflow, and SaaS solutions.

Previously, Kris served as the Chief Product Officer for MMIT, leading product development in support of client’s market access and drug commercialization objectives. He also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for TeleTracking Technologies, and has held leadership positions with GE HealthCare, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.

Kris has an MBA from Duke University with a concentration in decision sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Dan Tempesta

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer of Norstella, Dan Tempesta is responsible for leading the company’s global finance organization where he is focused on driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and scalable growth across Norstella. He brings more than 30 years of experience across technology, software, AI, and healthcare. Prior to joining Norstella, Dan was the CFO at Nuance Communications (which was sold to Microsoft in 2022), where he oversaw finance, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, order management, and procurement.

Prior to Nuance, Dan was the Corporate Controller and CAO of Teradyne, and before that he worked at PwC, primarily with technology companies, in various roles in the assurance practice. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Diane Watson

Chief Services Officer

As Chief Services Officer, Diane is responsible for Norstella’s services and consulting portfolio across all business units.

Diane has decades of leadership experience and has served as the COO of TeleTracking Technologies and Tilt, Inc. She was also the General Manager for MEDRAD’s Multi-Vendor Service and Cardiovascular Fluid Delivery business units. Diane spent several years as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies in her role as Associate Partner at Accenture (Andersen Consulting).

She has a bachelor’s degree in industrial management and information and decision support systems from Carnegie Mellon University.

Andrew Augustine

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer at Norstella, Andy Augustine leads the company’s global technology vision, and is focused on defining and executing the technology strategy – driving innovation across platforms, scalable architectures, and engineering excellence.

Andy brings deep expertise in cloud architecture, data science and AI, SaaS engineering, and agile delivery. Before joining Norstella, he served as CTO at Smarsh and Clarivate, and held senior technology leadership roles at Thomson Financial, Smarsh, and CCBN.

Kevin McCurry

Chief Strategy Officer

As Norstella’s Chief Strategy Officer, Kevin leads the organization’s strategy and corporate development group. He has over 25 years of experience in strategy and corporate development and has worked across a number of technology and information-intensive industries. Previous positions include serving as CSO at Integral Ad Science, SVP of Corporate Development & Strategy at SunGard, and CSO of Thomson Reuters Healthcare and Science division.

Kevin has an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Trinity College.

Vicky Harris

General Counsel

In her role as General Counsel, Vicky oversees Norstella’s legal, compliance, and privacy functions. Previously, she served as Head of Legal at Clarivate, and occupied various legal positions within the IP, Science, and Financial division of Thomson Reuters and the Reuters news agency. Vicky began her career practicing corporate and commercial law at the law firm Slaughter and May.

In 2020, Vicky led the team that won IP Legal Team of the Year in Lexology’s Global Counsel Awards, and in 2021, she was recognized as a highly commended lawyer by Next 100 Years’ Inspirational Women Lawyers awards.

Vicky has a Bachelor of Arts degree in jurisprudence from Oxford University and completed the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School.

Ted Search

General Manager, Real-World Data

Dr. Theodore Search, Pharm. D. is the General Manager of Real-World Data for Norstella. Prior to his role at Norstella, Ted served as the CEO of Real-World Networks – Pharma Intelligence at Informa, and was the Founder and CEO of Skipta.

Ted is an innovation advocate, successful entrepreneur, and expert in Real-World Evidence and has been named amongst the Top 100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry in 2015 and amongst the Top 100 Elite Entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in 2016.

Ted holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, is a board licensed Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and has benefited from practical pharmacy experience in both the retail and clinical settings.

Suzanne Caruso

General Manager, Strategic Intelligence and Clinical & Regulatory

Suzanne Caruso is a senior business executive and clinical trial study start-up expert with over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. As the General Manager of Clinical & Regulatory at Norstella, Suzanne leverages her expertise in data analytics and innovative trial operational models to drive efficiency for large pharma, biotech, and CRO companies.

Suzanne has held roles at Veeva Systems, WCG, GSK, and Novartis and has served as a subject matter expert and advisor to hundreds of organizations.

Sameer Siraj

General Manager, Market Access & HEOR

Sameer Siraj is General Manager of Market Access & HEOR at Norstella, where he leads the strategy and execution of solutions that support market access, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and real-world evidence. He is responsible for delivering innovation across this portfolio to help life sciences clients demonstrate value, navigate access challenges, and improve patient outcomes.

Sameer brings nearly 30 years of experience at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Prior to joining Norstella, he held senior leadership roles at Optum, GetWellNetwork, and ServiceNow, and has served as a fractional executive across product, operations, and commercial functions. He has deep expertise in building healthcare offerings, scaling enterprises through next generation technology, and driving product-led growth.

Sameer holds an MBA from Duke University, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Kerala.

Neelesh Sali

Managing Director, India Country Head

Neelesh Sali is the Managing Director and Country Head for Norstella in India. He oversees all aspects of the company’s operations in India, driving strategic initiatives and fostering innovation to support Norstella’s mission. With a focus on scaling operations, Neelesh plays a key role in strengthening Norstella’s presence and impact in the region.

With over 30 years of leadership experience, Neelesh has previously held senior roles at Saama Technologies, Clarivate Analytics, and Genpact, where he excelled in operational excellence, scaling global delivery centers, and achieving significant growth.

Neelesh holds a master’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Pune University.
